Our 2015 Tours

Armed Forces Day on the USS Midway,
May 16, 2015

Thanks for a successful tour!

Photograph of the Midway in San Diego President Harry S. Truman led the effort to establish a single holiday for citizens to come together and thank our military members for their patriotic service in support of our country. And what better way to celebrate our armed forces than to encounter the awesome size and power of the USS Midway and experience what it must have been like to serve on a ship that was once the largest in the world. Our exclusive all-day tour includes travel from Los Angeles and Orange county Amtrak stations to San Diego and back aboard vintage private railcar Colonial Crafts, and a special behind-the scenes tour of the Midway conducted by Scott McGaugh, Midway Museum Marketing Director historian and author of three books on the USS Midway.

Priced at $259/person. 10% earlybird discount for bookings received before 4/1/15.

Please contact Colonial Crafts toll free at (877) 224-1150 or by email at for a color brochure, additional information, reservations and booking for the May 16 Armed Forces Day Tour.

Additional information on our new Armed Forces Day Tour is available on our Special Events page.
